Recon Team Louisiana Pocket Patch,
3rd Generation
In early 1971, John Leavester is credited with having created the third generation RT Louisiana team patch. The Taiwanese machine embroidered black disk insignia has a winged skull in the center with RT LOUISIANA across the top and CCN RECON at the base. A second variation exists that has the word KILL embroidered between the wings. The history of RT Louisiana has been documented in the book: MAC V SOG: Team History of a Clandestine Army, Volume VI.
