Carl Franquet’s third model, 1-0 (One-Zero) jacket. The jacket was locally hand embroidered with his name, RECON, US and Vietnamese Airborne Wings. The veteran also had insignia from Command and control South (CCS) and Command and Control Central (CCC) applied.
In 1970, Carl R. Franquet III served with Military Assistance Command Vietnam Studies and Observations Group (MAC V SOG), Command and Control South (CCS), Recon Company, assigned to Recon Team Nail. He was later reassigned to Command and Control Central (CCC), Recon Company, and served with Recon Team Alabama.
Command Sergeant Major (E-9) Franquet retired from the Army in September 1994 after 26 years 6 months service with twenty months in Vietnam.
