Robert Cook’s Counter Insurgency Support Office (CISO) manufactured copy of the North Vietnamese Army (NVA) boonie.

In 1971, Robert F. Cook was assigned as a Special Forces Advisor with Military Assistance Command Vietnam (MAC V) assigned to A-341, Bu Dop and was later reassigned to Military Assistance Command Vietnam Studies and Observations Group (MAC V SOG), Task Force 1 Advisory Element (TF1AE), Recon Company assigned to Recon Teams Habu and Intruder.

Staff Sergeant (E-6) Cook processed out of the Army in August 1972 after 3 ½ years’ service with twenty months in Vietnam. Robert later joined the 11th Special Forces Group, Reserves and transferred to the 20th Special Forces Group, National Guard where he retired in 2005 with the rank of Command Sergeant Major (E-9).
