Friday afternoon manufactured, Second Generation, Fat Guard SOG knife with an unfinished blade.
The second generation Fat Guard SOG Knives were procured through the Counter Insurgency Support Office (CISO) for Military Assistance Command Vietnam Studies and Observations Group (MAC V SOG) sometime in 1970. The blade design had changed but still retained a short / thick cross guard and white spacers in the handle. Another order was later fulfilled for MAC V SOG, Joint Casualty Recover Center (JCRC / OPS-80) in 1972.
