Green Beret

Roy “Skip” Langston’s issued green beret that has a 10th Special Forces Group (ABN) flash applied to the face and a replaced Vietnamese tailor embroidered liner.

Roy S. Langston served two tours in Vietnam. His first tour was in 1963 with a 5th Special Forces Group (5th SFG (ABN)) TDY team assigned to Loc Ninh. He returned for his second tour in 1967 with 5th SFG (ABN), Project Omega that was later absorbed into Military Assistance Command Vietnam Studies and Observations Group (MAC V SOG), Command and Control South (CCS), Recon Team Nail.

Master Sergeant (E-8) Langston retired from the Army in 1974 after twenty years’ service with eighteen months in Vietnam.
