Joseph A. Paris served two tours in Vietnam. His first tour was in 1969 with the 1 / 7 Calvary. His second tour was in 1970 with Military Assistance Command Vietnam Studies and Observations Group (MAC V SOG), Command and Control Central (CCC) / Task Force 2 Advisory Element (TF2AE), Recon Company, and served with Recon Teams: Wyoming and West Virginia.
Sergeant First Class (E-7) Paris retired from the Army in January 1979 after twenty-two years’ service with twenty-eight months in Vietnam. Joe later accepted a position with the Colorado Department of Corrections where he later retired as a Lieutenant.
