RT Added Pocket Patch

William Case’s Taiwanese machine embroidered Recon Team “Added” pocket patch that he unknowingly had applied to his uniform.  The mistake was later pointed out by another member of Recon Company at the CCN Club.

In 1971, William Case was assigned to Military Assistance Command Vietnam Studies and Observations Group (MAC V SOG), Command and Control North (CCN), later changed to Task Force 1 Advisory Element (TF1AE), Recon Company, and served on Recon Team Adder.

Sergeant (E-5) Case returned to CONUS and processed out of the Army in December 1971 after 3 years’ service with ten months in Vietnam.
