RT Adder Pocket Patch

Charles Busler’s Taiwanese, machine embroidered, Recon Team Adder patch that was removed from his uniform.

In 1970, Charles D. Busler served with Military Assistance Command Vietnam Studies and Observations Group (MAC V SOG), Command and Control North (CCN), Recon Company where he served on Recon Team Anaconda and Recon Team Adder. During his tour Charles participated in a Static Line Airborne Insertion on January 10, 1971.

Sergeant (E-5) Busler processed out of the Army in 1972 after three years’ service with eighteen months in Vietnam. He later joined the Pennsylvania Nation Guard, 28th Infantry Pathfinder Unit and retired in 1991 at the rank of First Sergeant.
