Larry L. Trimble served three tours in Vietnam. His first tour was in 1965 with the 101st Airborne Division. He returned for a second tour in 1968 with Military Assistance Command Vietnam Studies and Observations Group (MAC V SOG), Command and Control North (CCN), Recon Company, assigned to Recon Teams Rattler and Asp. Larry’s final tour was in 1971 with Individual Training Group (ITG) / Forces Armee Nationale Khmer (FANK) Training Command, Don Ba Thin, RVN.
Sergeant First Class (E-7) Trimble retired from the Army in March 1978 after twenty-one years’ service with 36 months in Vietnam.
