Donald W. Davidson served four tours in South East Asia. His first tour was in 1967 with 5th Special Forces Group (5th SFG (ABN)) assigned to A-421, Ba Xaoi, RVN for six months before he transferred to Military Assistance Command Vietnam, Studies and Observations Group (MAC V SOG), Forward Observation Base #2 (FOB#2), Recon Company, assigned to Recon Team Iowa. He returned for a second and third tour in 1968 -1970 with 46th Special Forces Company on loan to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) for Project 404 in Laos. Donald’s last tour was in 1971 with MAC V SOG, Task Force 2 Advisory Element (TF2AE), Recon Company assigned to Recon Team California.

Master Sergeant (E-8) Davidson went on to serve with SFODA-Delta (Delta Force) before he retired from the Army in January 1985 after twenty-one years’ service with fifty four months in South East Asia.
